About me
Jen Rainin is an Oakland-based filmmaker, producer, and activist who co-founded Frankly Speaking Films alongside Rivkah Beth Medow. A Film Independent Fellow, she directs and produces documentary and fiction work centered on LGBTQ+ women and gender-expansive people.
Beyond her filmmaking work, Jen co-founded The Curve Foundation with her wife to champion LGBTQ+ women's stories and culture through community building and intergenerational programming. Through both organizations, she is committed to elevating underrepresented voices and driving positive social change for queer women.
