About me
Kit O'Connell is a freelance journalist from Austin, Texas who focuses on the LGBTQ+ community and their rights. As the former digital editor of the Texas Observer, their work was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award and a National Magazine Award. They currently create Big & Bright, a twice-monthly newsletter on queer Texas life, for the progressive publication The Barbed Wire.
