About me
Maddie Moran is an intersex, queer, and disabled advocate with MRKH living in Philadelphia. They serve as the Director of Communications at interACT, having first joined as a Youth Advocate in 2019 to speak about their own medical history with students and doctors.
Maddie publicly came out as intersex in Teen Vogue and has since written about healthcare, surgery, and dating, with their story featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer and other media outlets.
A national speaker on intersex justice and bodily autonomy, Maddie authored the Intersex Media Guide for reporters and mentors intersex young people as they tell their own stories. Maddie holds over a decade of experience as a community organizer, educator, and advocate. They are inspired by art, both visual and the art of rabble-rousing.
