About me
Sonali Kohli (she/her) is the author of the young adult nonfiction book Don’t Wait: Three Girls Who Fought for Change and Won, which was published in June 2024 by Beacon Press. Don't Wait follows the stories of three young women activists of color fighting for some of today’s most important California movements: defunding school police, increasing access to arts education and combating environmental racism. Sonali spent a decade of her career as an award-winning reporter and is currently a senior recruiter at URL Media, where she works to match underrepresented folks in journalism and media to find jobs and workplaces that will treat them well.
